⏤ PROJECT OVERVIEW
This Fitzroy coffee shop required a dedicated display area for bottles, jars and packaged goods that would feel integrated with the venue’s interior rather than read as back-of-house storage.
The finished fit-out combines tall, dark-finished metal shelving with slim framing and folded tray-style shelves. The units wrap neatly around an internal corner, using the available wall height while retaining sightlines to the venue’s surrounding timber trim, green tiled surfaces and wall finishes.
The shelving was designed to perform two roles: practical storage for products and a visible display feature within the customer environment. Fine, repeated uprights create a structured framework without overwhelming the room, while the tray-style shelves provide a practical platform for stocked goods.
Consistency was particularly important where the shelving turned the corner. Shelf levels, frame lines and junctions were coordinated to create a continuous installation that sits naturally alongside the adjoining interior finishes.
The result is a defined product-display zone that supports day-to-day hospitality operations while contributing to the visual character of the café.
