Melbourne Winery - Custom Wine Racking

GSP Engineering completed a custom wine-racking and display-shelving package for Melbourne Winery, creating a wine room that balances refined presentation with clear, easy movement through the space.

The brief extended beyond storage. The racking needed to make the wine collection a feature of the venue while maintaining an elegant, open interior. Dark metal framing and timber shelving were combined to create a warm, considered material palette that complements the hospitality setting without allowing the display to overwhelm it.

Slim metal uprights and consistent horizontal shelf lines define the display bays. Upright bottle positions sit alongside angled presentation rows and open shelf areas, offering varied ways to showcase the collection while retaining a unified visual rhythm.

The layout uses the room’s height and wraps display around the edges of the space and curved glazed frontage. A visible aisle between the racks keeps circulation clear, while open shelving retains views through to the surrounding venue.

The finished wine room gives the collection a strong presence within Melbourne Winery. Its combination of dark framing, timber detailing and flexible bottle display creates an ordered, elegant interior that supports both hospitality operations and the guest experience.
